“If you think you’re enlightened go spend a week with your family.” - Ram Das
You’ve been through so much.
This year, for sure. But this month, in particular.
December is a hard time for so many people, and I want you to know that if it’s been rough, just getting through it is enough. Nobody needs perfection from you. Nobody needs you to give everything you’ve got.
And when the day itself is over, your entire focus can simply be - recovery.
You can take all the time you need.
You can take all the time for you.
And when you’re better?
We’ll all be waiting.
All my love,
Books are a wonderful thing. But it’s so easy to become weighed down by them. I know the season of gift giving is past us now - but take a moment to consider your shelves, and consider whether a loving home might be found for some of your own well loved volumes.
I don’t believe in New Year’s Resolutions. To me, they always seem like either a futile attempt to change what you don’t want to change, or a good way to start your year by disappointing yourself. As 2021 approaches, try instead to identify the good in you, identify what you’re proud of, and aim to keep them up next year. That’s enough. ✨
Ignore your calendar.
You don’t need to know the date.
You don’t even need to know the day.
The year is ending.
The new is yet to come.
