#270 / Find someone to believe in.
Tuesday Edition
✨
“Commitment is a promise made from love. A commitment is making a promise to something without expecting a return—out of sheer lovingness.”
- David Brooks
Believing in someone is inspiring because it encourages you to see the unique value in the work of others, while leaving your own ego behind.
Belief doesn’t cost you anything. It’s free. You can believe in someone and not break the bank. It’s not going to put you at a disadvantage, and you won’t lose anything from it. Realistically, you might find someone who is doing work that is better than anything you’ve ever done.
And you’ll get to have a hand in making it a reality. That’s awesome.
Believing in someone is a way to give back, and pay your own experiences and opportunities forward, in a way that won’t hurt you at all. In a way that is positive and fulfilling.
If you can find someone else to believe in, it could change their lives. But it will definitely change yours. In small ways, in big ways. In the ways that count.
All my love,
Joan

Try to stay hydrated. Pick yourself up with a glass of water. Relish it like an afternoon cocktail. Water is a precious thing, and it ought to be valued. Your body needs it. You need it.
🕯
Search inside yourself for forgiveness. Forgiveness for someone you love. Forgiveness for yourself. And if you can find it, light a candle as you let it go. Holding onto the pain won’t help you and it won’t comfort you. I’m sorry. But that’s the truth. And deep down, we both know it.
🤝
Stop, and say thank you.
To the people who make your coffee.
Drive your bus.
Sort your change.
They deserve to be thanked.
They’re humans. Not NPCs.
