Jealousy has very little to do with your partner. It has very little to do with anyone except you. At its core, jealousy is a you problem, compounded by your decision to let someone else’s actions, words and attentions control the towering force of your own emotions.
We are taught ownership as a universql good, and the ultimate end goal. It’s not enough that something or someone is beautiful, that they inspire love in you - you, like all of us, have been taught that love is not complete until the object of your affection has become property, beholden to your rules and wants.
I wonder if jealousy serves any purpose, beyond fracturing the foundations of otherwise strong relationships. Consider what would happen if you let go. If you gave away freedom as a gift and did not give in to jealousy as a controlling factor…
